This course is designed to provide students in the health professions with a basic working knowledge of the Spanish language. Students learn to communicate with native speaking patients using primarily questions which can be answered using yes or no and single word answers. In order to meet this objective, students learn pronunciation of Spanish as well as very basic structural organization of the language. In addition, students learn about Hispanic culture as it pertains to the field of health.
