This course is a cross-cultural sociological analysis of the institution of the family with an emphasis on the new challenges to relationships in our rapidly-changing technological society. Topics include research on dating, marriage preparation, cohabitation, marriage adjustments, pregnancy and parenting, divorce, remarriage, life cycle changes, and enrichment programs. (Usually offered Fall and Spring semesters.) Prerequisite: ENG 099 or waiver through testing.
