This course will present a model Human Growth and Development Curriculum for students with disabilities, ages pre-school through 21. It will review ways to teach important concepts such as developing appropriate social boundaries, addressing public vs. private behaviors, and abuse prevention as key components in a human growth and development curriculum. It will present information on evaluating and developing lessions that are both age and developmentally appropriate. Information on a wide variety of teaching resources related to this topic will be shared with attendees. (3 hours/pending OASAS approval)
