This course will give an overview of the main behavioral characteristics of children with disabilities and the methods used to facilitate and support the development of appropriate behaviors and social skills in the school, home and community. Normal development sequences and the developmental gaps found in social skill development across autism spectrum will be reviewed. (3 hours)
