In order to obtain and maintain a job in the community, individuals with disabilities will require various levels of job placement/retention support services. This course will introduce different phases of services connected with this process, such as job readiness assessment, soft skill training, supported employment, outcome based placement and individual job development. Also covered will be employer incentives to hire persons with disabilities including On the Job Training (OJT) and Work Try Out (WTO). In addition, we will explain the role of VESID and the service provider community in the job placement assistance and retention process. **Sponsored by VESID (2.5 hours)
