Description:
Hazards in the workplace are a major concern today. Businesses and industries must comply with mandates from many regulatory agencies. This course will emphasize interaction with external regulatory agencies, developing an emergency action plan, identifying hazards, deficiencies and rectification of both, accident prevention, incident and accident investigation, safety equipment, worker training and education selection and planned periodic inspection of equipment and emergency equipment. (Usually offered Fall semester.) Prerequisisites: AAC 042, ENG 099, MAT 005 or waiver through testing.
