This course will provide an introduction to the field of safety management and industrial hygiene. Typical health and safety responsibilities are discussed, such as generating and updating a safety program or emergency action plans, record keeping education and identification of potential risk to health or safety of employees. Interaction of the safety professional with employees and management will be discussed. (Usually offered Fall semester.) Prerequisites: AAC 042, ENG 099, MAT 005 or waiver through testing.
