Designed to expand the nurse¿s knowledge, skills and techniques in eliciting a health history; performing physical assessments; recognizing normal and deviations from normal ; and recording data accurately, concisely and clearly. The emphasis is on the skill of performing a systematic health assessment of adults and children, incorporating developmental principles and socio-cultural aspects. (Usually offered fall semester.) Restricted to nursing students or graduate nurse. Prerequisites: BIO 214E, BIO 214L, NUR 112, or graduate from RN Program.
