Description:
Analysis of inorganic chemical substances based on gravimetric and volumetric methods. Volumetric methods include acid-base, redox, complexometric and precipitation titrations using both indicators and potentiometric techniques. Basic error analysis is introduced and the use of the computer spreadsheet is required for data handling, including data entry, calculations, plotting and final reporting. Optional special projects may be included. Prerequisite: CHE 120. Meets SUNY General Education requirement for Natural Sciences (N)
