The Medical Front Desk Specialist holds a key position in the medical office in greeting patients, scheduling appointments, processing patient information, managing the reception desk and assisting with other administrative responsibilities. In today's modern medical office environment, the Medical Front Desk Specialist requires skills in communications, word processing, records management, and patient privacy. This twelve (12) week program will prepare individuals for an entry-level employment in various health facilities. Job opportunities are found in physician offices, hospitals, clinics and dental offices. Keyboarding at 25 wpm is required.
