EKG (Electrocardiogram) Technician is a health care profession that will continue to grow and be in high demand. EKG Technicians work in doctors' offices, hospitals, clinics, and other health care facilities and organizations. EKG Techs also work for insurance companies to establish health and life insurance policies. EKG Technicians are responsible for performing electrocardiogram tests in order to monitor and record electrical impulses transmitted to the heart. Tests include basic EkGs, holter monitoring, 12 lead placement, and stress tests. For more information on the EKG Program or to register for the program, please call NCCC's Trott Office at (716) 278-8151 or 278-8150 or NCCC's Summit Site Office at (716) 215-5900 and ask for Kathy Fadel.
