The Certified Medical Billing program is a training program designed to prepare individuals for entry-level employment in the field of medical insurance billing. Students will gain valuable skills including knowledge of MediSoft, a medical accounting software package; insurance rules and regulations; medical coding; use of the electronic calculator; computer literacy; Microsoft Word and Excel, keyboarding and office procedures. An additional feature of this program is an externship where students can obtain valuable experience in a medical setting. Medical billers find employment in hospitals, physicians' offices, insurance companies, medical billing services and home businesses. Placement assistance is available upon completion of the program. A high school diploma/GED is required. Apply now, class size is limited. Program to be held at Summit Extension Site.
