This training is designed for all employers and employees who are engaged in any activity related to the identification, classification, packaging, marking, labeling, loading, unloading, placarding, receiving, preparation of shipping papers, or offering for transport hazardous materials or hazardous waste. This training includes an introduction to OSHA, EPA and DOT and explains their responsibilities. Packaging, Completion of a Uniform Hazardous Waste Manifest, and Specific DOT placarding and marking requirements are covered. At the end of this training, students will be tested to assure their awareness of the responsibilities under EPA, OSHA, and DOT regulations. Job specific training such as fork truck safety and record keeping activities will be the employer's responsibility under federal regulations. It is understood that at least one employee per company will take the DOT/RCRA Management Training to answer specific transportation questions that will arise.
