This course is designed for the "first responders" to medical and trauma emergencies. Candidates will be trained in the initial care of accident victims or those who incur a sudden illness--until a transporting ambulance arrives. It is designed for police officers, firefighters, industrial safety personnel, military personnel and others who meet this criteria. Candidates must have a current and valid CPR card at the time of the first session. The card may be either ARC: Basic Life Support for the Professional Rescuer, or AHA: Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers. A copy of this card is required at the first session. This course also provides defibrillation certification.
