This course provides the student with the basic background material and skills required to recognize and treat adult patients suffering from airway obstruction, respiratory arrest and cardiac arrest. Topics include: basic anatomy and physiology of the heart and airway, healthy heart living, foreign body obstructed airway procedures, rescue breathing and one rescuer CPR, AED demonstration.
