Start a new career as a medical billing Specialist! Doctors' offices, hospitals, HMOs, and clinics need the service of skilled billing specialists able to do the important job of medical billing. This is an evening program designed for those who, with general office skills, are seeking specialization. The CMB program focuses on the rules and regulations of the insurance industry, medical terminology, medical coding principles, MediSoft - a medical accounting software package, Microsoft Word and Excel. Successful completion of this program will provide graduates with the opportunity to obtain employment in diverse medical office environments. Placement assistance is available upon completion of the program. Requirements include a high school diploma or GED and keyboarding skills of 25 words a minute.
