This course develops reading ability through instructional emphasis on comprehension and rate improvement, skimming and scanning techniques, and adjustment of reading rate according to purpose and difficulty. Does not fulfill Humanities requirement, but is considered a general elective. (Usually offered Fall and Spring semesters.) Prerequisite: AAC 042 if required, a score at or above 85 on the College¿s Placement Test, COMPASS.
