This course is designed for students whose academic foundation in language and reading will be best strengthened through an intensive, one semester approach. Instruction focuses on improvement of reading, comprenehsion, vocabulary development, enhancement of listening and critical thinking abilities, and academic achievement strategies which promote college success. Credits apply only to the College's academic foundations requirements. (Occasionally offered.) Prerequisite: Appropriate for students who scored at or below a score of 39 on the ACT Compass Test.
