The course introduces fundamental principles, safety practices, equipment, and techniques necessary for metal heating and oxyfuel cutting. Topics include: metal heating and cutting principles; safety procedures, use of oxyfuel cutting torch and flame cutting apparatus, metal heating and cutting techniques, cutting with manual and automatic cutting machines, and oxyfuel pipe cutting. Practice is provided in the laboratory section of the course.
