An introduction to application programming concepts with primary emphasis on student-designed programs involving databases or spreadsheets joined to a controlling host program, probably designed with Visual Basic or some other software. Students gain hands-on experience in the use, customization, and design of applications software by completing a real project of their own choosing, one which meets the specific course software design and program development requirements.
