This class focuses on the ecological diversity of primates and how these and other traits are related to their present day abundance and distribution. In addition, the biological, abiotic, and anthropogenic factors related to extinction risk are examined. It also reviews the endangered species of primates; case histories of conservation programs; and management practices in Asia, Africa, South America, and Madagascar. Prerequisites: Anthro 150 or Biol 2970, or permission of instructor.
