This course covers an introduction to the history, art, craft, and socio/psychological dimensions of the theater. The course combines assigned play readings with the study of the elements and techniques used in theater. The elements of acting, directing, stage settings, and costuming are incorporated. The relationship between theater and society is explored. Prerequiste: Preparing for College Reading II (ENGL092) or waiver by placement testing results.
