Description:

Theis course covers the basic unit processes of wastewater treatment plants, and is very beneficial for students preparing for various levels of the State certification examiniations. The course is designed to train operators in the safe and effective operation and maintenance of wastewater treatment plants. Topics include: safety, preliminary treatment, primary setting, secondary biological treatment, disinfection, residuals management, wastewater mathematics, laboratory analysis and treated effluent disposal. Text: Operation of Wastewater Treatment Plants. Volumes I & II, approximately $50 each, can be purchased at the College bookstore.
