Description:
This course is for licensed Home Inspectors. This course will cover the fundamental phases of electrical inspection. The curriculum will include basic types of electrical installation inspection, and is intended to provide a systematic approach to the inspection process. Topics included are a review of the electrical inspection requirements of the Code of Massachusetts for home inspectors, feeder distribution, and branch circuit layout. Incorporated in the course objectives will be resource materials as well as interactive learning techniques. In addition, this course also will cover situations home inspectors may encounter when inspecting electrical systems - from electrocuted mice, to violations in grounding, knob and-tube wiring, aluminum wiring, circuits boxes, and fuses. Inspectors will discover where to look for electrical mishaps waiting to happen! (State Board Approved for 3.5 continuing education credits.)
