Description:

Home Inspection. Instruction will focus on recommended methods for conducting a home inspection, with advice on setting up the checklist so that all important components are covered. Participants will learn how to look for, identify, and follow up on indications of a possible problem. The significance of new roof shingles that are lifting, tall foundation shrubs, foundation mud trails, darkened and streaked exterior shingles, for example, will be discussed as possible indicators of hidden damage. Aspects of insect damage, water damage, electrical and structural problems will be addressed. (State Board Approved for 3 continuing education credits.)
