This course is designed to introduce students to the basics of polysomnography. The students will understand the field of sleep medicine and technology. Topics include polysomnography operation, equipment calibration, review of the respiratory anatomy, respiratory monitoring devices, and interfacing ancillary equipment. Emphasis is placed on patient concern and anxiety related issues, understanding the polysomnography environment and safety.
