(Real Estate License Renewal Course) This seminar is State approved and satisfies two hour of the twelve hours required under the Real Estate Continuing Education Law. Title V regulation 310 CMR 15.00 of the Massachusetts Environmental Code was revised March 31, 1995, and the new revised rules went into effect on January 1, 2000. There are many misunderstandings by Massachusetts property owners concerning compliance and what is necessary. Topics and materials covered include: Massachusetts Title V regulation 310 CMR 15.00, inspection of existing system, required inspections and non-required inspections, cesspool and septic tanks, change in ownership, additions, refinancing existing mortgage, residential systems, shared systems, large systems, and new systems requirements. Voluntary inspections, reporting requirements, alternative technologies, MA. Income tax credit for homeowners, and recommendations critical to the up-keep of septic systems. Important and relevant laws and regulations will be discussed and interpreted.
