(Real Estate License Renewal Course) This seminar is State approved and satisfies two hours of the twelve hours required under the Real Estate Continuing Education Law. Topics and materials covered include: Landlord and Tenant rights and responsibilities, Security Deposits and the last month's rent, Eviction for Non-payment or Possession, Terminating the tenancy. Fair Housing Laws-Anti Discrimination, MGL chapter 151B, Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination, Leases vs Rental Agreements, Consumer Protection Act, MGL Chapter 93A, De-leading, Lead Paint Issues MGL Chapter 111. And tenant disclosure and notification, MGL Chapter 186, Types of Tenancy, Fee Disclosure Requirement, types of Apartment Listings, The State Sanitary Code, Rent withholding and more. Important relevant cases will be discussed and interpreted.
