CSPI 025 - 3-Season Perennials

Institution:
Massasoit Community College
Subject:
Personal Interests-non credit
Description:
Perennials are back in fashion. Want to discuss them with an English professor who grows daylillies commercially and is a consultant to the Paul Revere House on its 18th century herb garden? We will explore ways to build, expand, or revamp your perennial garden so that it offers visual interest from April through early November. The White Flower Farm Spring 2005 catalog will be a resource as we discuss selecting perennials for color and texture, designing and preparing a bed, acquiring plant material; planting, transplanting and dividing perennials, caring for perennials during the growing season; and caring for perennials during the late fall and winter. Lots of time for Q and A. There will be a nominal fee for the White Flower Farm catalog that you will receive at the first class.
