This course builds on the content of Nursing I (NURS101 and focuses on basic human needs when threatened by common health problems. The student continues to apply the nursing process in the care of the client with medical and surgical problems. The student is helped to integrate previous learning. Clinical experiences are planned around these problems in medical/surgical settings. This course may be taken during the first or second half of the semester. Prerequisites: Anatomy & Physiology I (BIOL201), General Psychology (PSYC101) and a grade of C or better in Nursing I (NURS101) Pre/Corequisite: Anatomy & Physiology II (BIOL202)
