Insurance Institute. This involves three major topics: 1) Coverage 2) Liability and 3) Damages. The coverage topic involves the analysis of the standard insurance policies applicable in casualty claims (i.e. Personal Automobile Policy. Homeowners Policy, and Commercial Auto and General Liability Policies). The coverage analysis would include discussing the various parts of the policy such as the common policy definitions, the insurance agreement, covered risks and exclusion and conditions. The liability topic would include an introduction to legal liability concepts such negligence which triggers the coverage discussed above. Lastly, the damages topic would involve a discussion of the factors considered in the evaluation process(how the insurance company comes up with a value in a claim for bodily injury, wrongful death, etc)
