Description:

Open to beginners as well as those with experience, this hands-on course explores basic clay concepts and techniques including wheel throwing, hand building, and clay bodies (high temperature stoneware, low temperature earthenware, and porcelain). It also explores glazing techniques and kilns. A short history from ancient pottery shapes to contemporary forms is included. An additional $20 supply list will be provided at the first class.
