This course is an introductory course to design and color theory. Design is the foundation discipline of all forms of visual expression. This course introduces the student to the formal elements of design: line, shape, color, texture, and spatial relationships. The student will explore the aspects of color: value, hue, and intensity as they relate to design. Through a variety of challenging assignments, students use these elements to solve problems of visual organization. Lecture: 2 hours Laboratory: 2 hours
