An introduction to the policy and technical issues of greenhouse gas assessment and reporting, and carbon cap and trade mechanisms. Students learn about existing European cap and trade models; the issues associated with instituting a cap and trade program in the US; how to assess greenhouse emissions for registration and trading purposes; and the evolving carbon trading markets.
