Examines the politics of the Middle East from a thematic perspective and explores issues such as the formation of the state of Israel, oil, terrorism and modernization. The course focuses on particular political systems such as Democracy, Theocracy and Monarchy and countries such as Israel, Iran, and Saudi Arabia.
