Examines the musculoskeletal anatomy of the human body. Students identify details of skeletal structures and the origins, insertions, and actions of the superficial and intermediate layers of muscles. Lectures and experiential exercises in palpation and clay modeling of muscles using the Zahoureek Maniken System help students to establish a foundation for skilled and anatomically accurate touch. (Offered: Every Fall) Prereq: COL 090 and ENG 090 or satisfactory placement test scores.
