An introduction to the origin and development of the earth, with emphasis on the Eastern United States. Topics include geologic time, myths and science of creation, meaning and interpretation of rocks and fossils. Lab and Field trips are required. NOTE: Credit can be granted for GEO 102 or GEO 103, but not for both. (Offered: Every Spring) Prereq: Placement beyond or satisfactory completion of COL 090 and ENG 090
