The legal system is studied not in terms of the rules which make up the system, but in terms of the activities involved in creating, interpreting & enforcing these rules. The primary concern is with the ways in which the legal system affects society & in which society is an integral part of the larger social system & not an isolated set of rules, procedures & activities. Prerequisite: SO 100 or consent of instructor.
