SQL SERVER DATABASE AND IMPLEMENTATION Prerequistes: CGS 2545 or Departmental approval This course teaches the student how tho develop a logical data model; how to create databases, database files, and objects; space management and growth strategies. The student will use Transact SL and Data Transforamtion Services to manipulate data and extract data in XML format. Programming business logic using stored procedures, transactions, triggers, user- defined functions and vbiews also are covered. The student will learn to optimize database performance by using SQL Profiler and the Index Tuining Wizard. Security management will be covered fromthe viewpoint of data access, object- level securitym, and application rolls. (Special Fee:$34.00)
