A review of the geological hazards which affect our lives, property and the environment. Emphasis will be on the origin and prediction of such hazards, as well as ways to minimize their effects. In addition to earthquakes and volcanoes, this course will cover landslides, floods, meteorite impacts, and stream and coastal erosion. No laboratory.
