Description:
-
This class is designed for the student to undertake in-depth analysis of concepts of Leadership on complex political, socio-economic situations, and physical environments of small organizations. The classes focus on organizational behavior and foster an appreciation of how individuals adjust to the planned and executed operation of an organization. The course provides a foundation in the principles and methods of navigation, to include the use of a topographic map, air photo interpretation, climatology, and route survey. The class traditionally compares and contrasts the actions of small organizations in the process of developing strategy, tactics, theory, political, economic, and physical factors. ORGANIZATIONAL LEADERSHIP LABORATORY- The training is designed to be a little more mentally demanding than the Freshman laboratory and simulates as nearly as possible actual small organizational conditions. For the first time, students are placed in Leadership positions and situations, and should emerge with more self-confidence, having experienced some of the environment, the skills, and the challenges of small organizations. This course is taken concurrently with Military Science 100 thereby reinforcing the concepts of that course.
