(Math-010 Pre-Requisite for Industrial Arts Majors). An introductory course combining the machine tool field with the welding field. A basic working knowledge of the terminology and processes used in both machine tools and welding fields. Laboratory experience on lathes, grinders, mills, shapers, and drills in the machine tool area; and gas operations, manual and electrical introduction to MIG and TIG in the welding field. Special projects are produced in both lab and class.
