An interdisciplinary course which will accomplish the following as minimum objectives: a. Provide a broad introduction to scientific perspectives of the world. b. Provide an understanding of how science arrives at answers. c. Provide an understanding of how scientific concepts affect art and humanities. d. Begin developing student skills in analytical and critical thinking through reading and analyzing selected materils. e. Develop students' writing and speaking skills through compositions, short essays and oral presentations keyed to different units in the course. f. Provide an introduction to selected thinkers and ideas in the history of science.
