This course is an extension of a basic course in plane surveying. Its purpose is to give those students interested in the field of mining a knowledge and level of skill necessary to understand the more advanced methods employed in the "higher-technology" surveying of today. The course will include carbographic technical using state plane coordinates, methods of vertical and horizontal control, instrumentation and calculations related to the surveying and mapping in surface and deep mines.
