This course is a sequel to MAS 201 and progresses the student from the fundamental procedures to more advanced patient care in the physician's office or ambulatory care settings. Students continue to apply the fundamental processes learned into procedures such as specimen collection, patient education, phlebotomy skills, and other diagnostic testing as permitted with the scope of practice of the clinical medical assistant. Students are trained in basic patient care including performing a variety of specimen collection procedures and performing diagnostic testing, such as electrocardiography and respiratory testing.
