Description:
This course provides campus lab and externship experiences for students to apply the theory learned in MAS 201. Students apply skills related to the funamental procedures of handwashing, autoclaving, sterilization techniques, and the handling of biohazardous materials. Additional emphasis is placed on preparation for patient care, assisting with patient care, and educating the patient according to the directions of the physician. Theory taught in MAS 201 is applied both on-campus and through an externship of 90 hours.
