This course covers diesel engine construction classifications and design. The moving and stationary parts are discussed. Lube oil, fuel oil, and cooling systems are examined along with an explanation of heat and combustion. Intake and exhaust systems, fuel injection for diesels, speed governors, and the properties of diesel fuels and gaseous fuels are covered. Discussion will also be held on high compression gas burning engines.
