Students will learn to identify and size framing members for house framing. They will also learn to properly lay out members for interior and exterior walls; common, hip, valley, and jack rafters for roofs; and floor and ceiling joists. Both wooden and steel framing will be included in the class. Lab work is used throughout the semester.
