This course introduces the student to the basics of the carpenter trade. Students will review basic math skills, including decimals and fractions. They will learn how to safely use hand, portable, and stationary power tools. The trainee will also be introduced to common building materials, fasteners used in construction, scaffold building, trenching and shoring.
