You will actually set up a typical group practice, inputting physician, patient and insurance company information, as well as procedure codes, and diagnosis codes. Learn how to print out the various reports, such as patient statements patient aging reports. Practice analysis report, etc. You will print out claim forms and post charges, payments and adjustments and see the actual explanation of benefits reports. You will learn how to set-up for electronic billing (learn the five-step process). You will learn what to do from the time you receive information from your doctors till the claim is paid. There will be several lessons that you will do at home. This class is meant to be generic so once you learn one medical billing program you can easily transfer your knowledge to another medical billing software. Taught by two instructors who own medical insurance billing services. This class is highly recommended for those interested in starting a medical billing service from their home or those seeking employment in a medical facility. Systems requirements include IBM or compatible computer, Windows 98 or above, or Windows NT 4.0 or higher with current updates, 32mb RAM and printer. You have three weeks to complete the class. Your instructor will be available by e-mail Monday through Friday for three weeks to answer your questions. Certificates issued with an open book quiz. Fee includes the manual, CD demo for the manual and an extra demo for the electronic billing process.
